For 11 years, The Prostate Net has helped bridge the gaps caused by socio-economics and race by making information about prostate cancer detection and treatment accessible through the internet. Both traditional communication methods and cutting edge technology, such as PodCasts and cell casts, are used, and our initiatives have successfully brought screening and educational services directly into the underserved minority communities.
The Knowledge Net is an extension of The Prostate Net website. The Knowledge Net enables The Prostate Net to place a computer terminal at a public location within a community to distribute prostate cancer information through technology. The Knowledge Net also provides data to healthcare professionals and cancer researchers about the populations accessing the site, the type of information they are viewing as well as interpreting the needs of those communities. The Prostate Net can customize a program to meet your needs in research, program development or community education to address particular issues for your community. Contact us to discuss your requirements and objectives.
